I finally saw the other side of 150MPH this weekend...and scared the piss out of me; which begs the question:

How fast have you been on your GSXR 750?

It was still pulling so strongly when I ran out of road and nerve, it felt like there was so much more available.

Well, I'm currently running a -1 +2 set up so I'd guess my real top speed is about 155 maybe 160 if it will pull it into the redline.

About 140, but my Gixxer 750 is made up to look like a ZX-9 so people will think it's slow.

I am running the same set up and I was at 160 not even close to red line. I may have been able to go 165-170 at red line but ran out of room. But who cares...its too damn fast to be going any how.

greetings,
i have the 750's savage little sister (sixxer)and i wanted to play.
164 mph on the speedometer which probably translates to 158 mph true speed.
but it was wide open for over a minute @ 162-164mph. the garmin gps always shuts off (for true speed) due to all the crazy vibrations the suzi's and kawi's dish out. i'm looking @ the k7 750 right now with less than noble intentions...

Where and when did you do this? Just curious.

The wind really makes me nervous starting around 110 on the Triumph, but it's naked. Even with the fairings on the 750 though, the wind has got to be pretty crazy at 150+.

I thought speedos were off by more than that at those speeds. The one on my Busa was reading 'bout 175 when the GPS recorded 160 or so.

Not a GSX-R 750,but I've gone Ludicrous Speed(152-153 mph true speed)on my old FZR1000!
That big ol' fairing is a nice place to be tucked behind when the party is starting to get interesting. The bike acts like "Gee,another day at the office...yawn".

I'm not sure where we were, somewhere northwest of Frisco...a friend and I were looking for new roads and found ourselves riding on a very long and straight road before i got the bright idea to give it a run or two.

it's about 5 miles long and you can nearly see from one end to the other, good road surface, minimal traffic, and only a couple of driveways...it's like a runway.

on my second run, i wheelied out of second gear at about 120mph and after that just tried to hold on until 150.

The bike had way more in it and i had miles of road left...i just ran out of nuts for the day.

I was trying for a third run, but i only made it upto 140ish before the cross wind made me a little nervous...i had seen all of the blurry scenery i need to for one day.

If i can remember how to get to that road, i'll post the directions. There are also some nise twisties leading to that strip as well.

Ive gotten my YZF 600R to 145 chasing my buddies on 1000's. LOL had to let up though, it was just to fast and insane to keep there.
