I have a chance to pick up a Red 05' Saleen N20 Focus for what I think might be a good price. I was told the car has low milage and is in mint cond. I know what they go for new, it's harder to get an idea of what they go for used since you can't just go by book value since they aren't listed. What are these cars going for used?

hmmm well, depends on models and ultimately perfect condition. \ But it'd be cheaper to get a low mileage focus real cheap and make it your own

With the limited amount of dressup extras on the Saleen and a lack of performance upgrades, I really can't justify that price, but again it's all up to you in the end bro :dunno:

DAMN! I bought my '04 ZX3 w/the 2.3L Duratec for $11,500 BRAND NEW!!!
Figure a FS stage 1 turbo is $3,200 and the SVT suspension is about $250ish. To me, the Saleen is overpriced for what actual performance you get with their price. With the FS turbo you are easily above 200 hp/torque and 100lbs less than the SVT's front end.
Just a thought.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind when buying a Saleen vehicle. Make sure you have a Saleen dealer close to where you live as a regular Ford dealer won't even look at it (for Saleen issues). Also keep in mind that Saleen doesn't get in any hurry when it comes to warranty work. They deliver, it just takes a while. Make sure the seller has ALL receipts for any work. Ask him where he gets it serviced and call them. Check the body work REAL close, as Saleen panels are very fragile and fit from the factory can be suspect. And whatever you do, DO NOT shoot the nitrous or it will blow sky high (trust me on this one) the internals can't even handle 4000 rpms on the highway. Overall, if you can get it around $12,5 to $14,5 you shouldn't get hurt(depending on the miles). A Saleen is looked down upon in the Focus community. But on the upside, You'll be welcomed with open arms from the Saleen Mustang guys(I don't bother with the compact guys) Plus you have something that's 1 of 75! Good luck with your purchase:thumbup:

my suggestion is you find a mint focus that is stock, and build it yourself, you'll get a finer car in the end........i'd be weary about buying a car thats "nitrous ready" because you should think about the intent of the kind of person buying a car like that...

Saleens arent worth any more than any other focus, it just has a body kit and maybe 2k in aftermarket stuff that really doesnt add value to the car.
Also they are looked down upon, there lack of performance is not something we celebrate here. Plus if its an 05 its just a 2.0 unlike the 2.3 in the 04 which has ALOT more upgrade potential then the 2.0 does.
If you want a special focus that doesnt suck, get an SVT, or if exclusivity doesnt matter get an 04 2.3 hatchback or 05+ ST sedan, any of them are a much better puchase then a saleen, and they made thousands of saleens foci, not just 75.

I know Steve Saleen personally and I can assure you they only made 75 in 05 and 88 in 04 of the n2o. Buying the body kit doesn't count.

Meh, I'd rather build my own 2.3L again, or spend my money on a clean, used Euro SVT ZX5 (especially if it's orange, uber rare). The only worthy Saleens are the S351 and the old Fox bodies.
